I'm on Pinterest!

Just a quick note to let you know that you can now follow me on Pinterest where I have been spending a fair amount of time (inbetween spring cleaning, boiler and cat dramas) looking at, and adding lots of pretty pictures and getting inspiration for all kinds of things, including my wedding. I've added a new button to the sidebar for ease. Let me know if you're on there, would love to have a nosey at your pins/boards.

How to Plan a Wedding!?

My wedding ring.
Yesterday was my anniversary with my fiancé, 8 years we have been together... engaged for 6 of them, yes that's right, SIX frigging years of being engaged and we still haven't even set a date for the wedding. This is due in part to us buying a house that has subsequently eaten every spare bit of money we have - and by spare, I mean money that isn't allocated already to buying make-up and pretty things (ha)!

So, with the desire to be married before I draw my pension (I'm 31 in less than one month and time is flying by), and without a lottery win to help our cause (it would help if I played it, of course), I've decided that I need to start making plans to finally get married as the house will never stop costing money and not planning anything will get us nowhere.

Now, I don't want my wedding to appear cheap, but it does need to cost as little as possible and without cutting huge corners, so I'll have to get a bit creative. This is why I've decided to blog about these things here and there to help me keep record of everything - and also because I'd love to hear your thoughts on things as and when I post about them.
My ring again.
I have my beautiful, gorgeous wedding ring already, thanks to Goldsmith's and Tesco Clubcard Deals (romantic, I know) so that's one huge expense that I don't have to worry about, but I think that's about it as far as things I can tick off my enormous list goes.

So, if you have any hints, tips or ideas right now, feel free to comment and let me know as it's quite hard to know where to start. x

Wordless Wednesday - Charlize Theron!

How amazing does Charlize Theron look in this photograph? Her make-up is very neutral and lovely looking, but her hair steals the show for me. I adore it. The messy-ish updo is complemented perfectly with a sparkly headband that I *really* need to own (or at least something similar) and I would totally steal the whole look for my wedding day (I might)!

What do you think?

Celeb Sunday - Two Weddings and a Hair'do!

The first wedding is that of Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch... they look mega happy in the pics so I'm just hoping he can learn to keep it in his trousers (or at least reserved only for his wife) in future. Abbey looks stunning as always, her hair and makeup perfect for and the dress is every bit as stunning too!

The next wedding of the week was that of Kate Moss and Jamie Hince who got married in the Cotswolds on Friday! HEr hair and makeup were very natural, almost like she hadn't done anything do it, almost! She wore a beautiful Galliano dress with a very vintage feel to it - and a veil that was to die for, don't you think?

And finally, we have the new Cheryl Cole 'do - much talked and speculated about over Twitter, so what do we think? Love or hate? I really like it actually, it's not too lightand that cut is bang on the money, love it.

A Very Short Post On The Royal Wedding!

I didn't watch the wedding live, I went out (and sky+'d it) but having watched it now I just had to do a quick post as I thought Catherine Middleton looked so beautiful. The dress, her makeup and her hair were all spot on... she looked every inch the Royal Bride and I am rather chuffed for them both for them to have had such a perfect day, even the rain held off for them!

I adore this photograph of Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge (just can't get used to calling her this, rather than Kate Middleton lol)... she looks stunning, don't you think?!
