Swatches - Sleek Limited Edition 'Sparkle' i-Divine Palette!
Due to being poorly, going to a festive party and then falling over on the ice (and landing on my head), these swatches have ended up going up a lot later than I had intended. Also, in the swatches, please excuse any cuts and scratches that you notice, they are some of my injuries from the aforementioned fall.
Sleek MakeUP’s Sparkle i-Divine palette has been a fantastic purchase for me already, I had been anticipating its release ever since I first saw Sleek mention it on their Facebook page and I’m not disappointed. I must admit that I had my reservations about the red and yellow in the palette from the first ‘palette pictures’ that were released, but actually these are a lot better than I had imagined they would be; especially since the yellow is actually more gold, and the ‘red’ is a lot more wearable than first thought, and can be blended with the blues to create even more sparkly purple hues.
My favourite colours from this palette are Galactic, Twinkle, Illusion, Festive, Mistletoe and Glitz & Glamour; but really they’re all rather lovely colours and will all get used lots over the party season!

As ever, the quality of the shadows is great and lasts really well on the eye – basically everything I have come to expect from Sleek palettes, and yes there is a bit of fall down from the shadow on application but this is easily solved by taking appropriate measures to avoid your foundation base being ruined.
These will not be available for long, as they’re limited edition so if you want one then I suggest you go buy one as soon as you can – especially since they’re still only £5.99 (such a bargain in my opinion)!

Competition - Win a Sleek Bad Girl Palette & Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner!
I've been so impressed by the Sleek ‘Bad Girl’ palette (here), and the Avon ‘SuperShock Gel Eyeliner’ in black (here) that I decided to go and buy one of each and run a competition so that one of you, my lovely readers can win both.
All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning, is follow/be following my blog via Google Friend Connect (to the right) and leave me a comment below with your contact details. Your contact details can be your email, or your twitter name (but you must be following me on Twitter also, so that I can DM you if you win) but remember, you *must* be following on Google Friend Connect in order to be entered.
I’ll pick a winner in about 4 weeks time, so let's say that the competition will close on
I'll choose the winner using random.org.
Edit: I'm extending the competition until the New Year, firstly as I've had a couple of people email to tell me of difficulties in subscribing via GFC (so giving it a bit more time should enable these people to subscribe in time) and also because of the bad weather, I think it would take longer for me to post the prize out so I would rather draw the winner later so there's not so much of a gap between winning and receiving your prize.
The competition will now end on Sunday 2nd January 2011 at 23:59pm UK Time.

Sleek 50% Sale Extended!
Due to its popularity, Sleek have extended their 50% sale until midnight tonight so if you haven't been able to order, or just didn't know about the sale then here's your chance to grab a bargain. I really do recommend the Bad Girl palette if you do decide to make a purchase.
I think this is great news as I have seen a lot of people that have been very frustrated about the website going so slowly and baskets being emptied before being able to be checked out, so hopefully this makes up for the issues and allows everybody to get their orders in!
The codes you need to use to get the discount are as follows:
GBP50SLK
Who can use this code? >UK CUSTOMERS ONLY
EUR50SLK
Who can use this code? >MAINLAND EUROPE USERS or those where the € sign is automatically selected as the default currency upon visiting the website

Swatched - Sleek Graphite V Sleek Bad Girl Palette!
I've been told that a few people think that the Bad Girl palette is very similar to the Sleek Graphite palette that was released as a limited edition palette about a year ago. I can see the resemblance, in that they’re both quite dark and have silvers in, but personally I do feel they're different enough to warrant owning both.
I thought I would swatch them so that you can see what you think about this for yourself, side by side.
First up is the Graphite Palette!

Similarities:
Greys and silvers - close but not exact though!
Differences:
Bad Girl has a mix of matte and shimmer finishes.
Bad Girl has blues, and greeny grey hues included.
The purples are actually quite different in both palettes.
Graphite has very dark shimmery, almost black hues.
Bad girl has dark, but browny hues that are quite matte.

Sleek Christmas 'Sparkle' i-Divine Palette - Sneak Preview Swatch!
I saw Sleek talking about an upcoming limited edition Christmas ‘Sparkle’ palette a few days ago and I was instantly intrigued by it. Their exact wordings in relation to the palette were:
“Ok so for all of you that hate sparkly glitter laden eyeshadows - just ignore Sleek MakeUPs Christmas palette launch!”
and
“We’ve actually been working on a sparkle palette for 2 years it is so difficult to do!! Disco fever, meets Xmas sparkles= Sparkle :) December”
I’ve been so excited and have wanted to find out more ever since! So when Sleek posted this preview swatch earlier on Twitter I just had to post it up, especially for those of you who didn’t see it. So here it is their little preview of their planned Christmas palette.
http://yfrog.com/j0r2xzj
Release date will be announced in a few weeks, but is said to be near to Christmas (to be expected, really).
What do you think of it? I think it looks VERY promising, can't wait to see the rest of the colours.
