A Festive Chanel & Dune Mini Haul!

2 weeks ago, I decided that whilst I was out doing my Christmas shopping and spending lots on my loved ones, that I'd also treat myself to a little something. I ended up with 3 small (ish) but perfectly formed (and slightly pricey) 'me gifts' including 2 items from Chanel's Holiday 2011 Collection, Rouge Allure 'Luminous Satin Lip Colour' in the shade Famous (207), a gorgeously festive pink-toned red with added sparkle in there, just for good measure, and the equally festive and similar toned shade, Rouge Carat (587) Le Vernis Nail Polish.

Swatches coming soon!

My final purchase of the day was a beautiful pair of Dune shoes (The Sparkling Shoe), and not only are they totally gorgeous and super sparkly, they're also limited edition and raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust with a whopping £50 from their £90 price tag going to the charity, which makes them quite possibly the best pair of shoes I have ever bought, and also the easiest purchase to justify to Mr Beauty Scoop!
The shoes look pink at first glance, but they actually contain multi-coloured glitter particles that pick up different lights and colours from the area surrounding them. Stunning.

Professional Beauty Nubar & China Glaze Nail Polish Haul!

First off, sorry for my lack of posting, I've been a bad blogger (and not very organised) as I didn't get a chance to schedule any posts whilst away from home over the weekend!

Yesterday I went to Professional Beauty North @ Manchester Central (although if you're like me, you actually still call it the GMEX) and whilst I wasn't there as long as I'd have liked (Mr Beauty Scoop was bored!), you'll be pleased to know that I still managed to have quite a large nail polish spending spree.

 Nubar Prisms Full Collection!
 Nubar Prisms Close Up!
 Nubar Prisms Close Up!
 Nubar Reclaim
Nubar Sparkles Collection!

I bought 20 Nubar polishes, including the full Prisms collection as I love the look of the holographic finishes, all but the silver G180 polish from the Sparkle collection since I already own that one (and have blogged about it HERE!), and Reclaim, the green holographic polish from the Going Green collection. I also bought a few random sparkly ones that I think I'll use as topcoats to make plainer polishes twinkle!

China Glaze 'Let it Snow' Seasonal Sparkles Set!
China Glaze 'Let it Snow' Belle of the Ball Set!

From China Glaze I bought 2 Christmas sets (I would have bought more but they had sold out(!) on the first day) including Seasonal Sparkles that contains Poinsettia, Twinkle Lights and Holly-Day polishes, and the Belle of the Ball set that contains Champagne Bubbles and Tinsel Town polishes and a bauble - I have a few more bits from the Christmas/Holiday 2011 'Let it snow' collection coming from America too, I'll show you when they arrive!
L-R: It's Alive, Señorita Bonita,Ruby Pumps, Ahoy, 108 Degrees, Pool Party!

I also bought 6 other China Glaze polishes including 108 Degrees, Señorita Bonita, Pool Party, Ahoy, It's Alive and Ruby Pumps!!

I'd have loved to have spent more time (and money) there but after leaving early, and remembering how packed it was on the Monday last year, I decided to quit whilst I was ahead and order some more bits online at some point. I don't think I did too badly, do you?

Did anybody else go to Professional Beauty? If so, what, if anything did you buy? x

Asos Order - Done!

I've been 'window shopping' for bags for a while on Asos, putting items into my basket and then not being able to choose which ones I should buy, and in which colour. So when I got to my bare minimum in terms of the styles I really loved the look of, I decided not to choose which colour, and instead ordered them all. My thinking being that I can send back any that don't grab me so much in the flesh (that's the theory, I might actually like them all - eek!) and then at least I've made some progress.

My items!

  • Asos Twist Lock Satchels in Mink and Tan - £42 each!
  • Asos Twist Lock Satchel in Chocolate - £35 (showing as sold out now though)!
  • Paul & Joe Nail Enamel Trio - £8.75 (total bargain)!
  • Nica Alicia Satchel, Black - £30!
  • Rocketdog Boots - £28 each!
  • River Island Superskinny Jeans (still can't believe I'm buying 'super skinny' anything, hope they fit, ha) £27!
  • Firetrap Wysteria Boots in Grey Suedette - £40!
www.asos.com

I'm still waiting for the majority of my order to arrive, just one bag arrived so far with a broken clasp, so that is bring replaced. What do you think of the items I've bought?

My Recent Selfridges Haul!

I paid for some additional Muji storage over the phone from the Muji concession at Selfridges in the Trafford Centre about 6 weeks ago, but promptly forgot about it more or less as soon as I had put down the phone. Anyway, I got a call a couple of weeks ago to ask if I was going to be picking them up soon which prompted a trip there and a mini (but expensive) haul ensued. I bought:
  1. 2 Muji acrylic storage units (2 drawer, wide) - well, I collected them anyway!
  2. 3 Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Eyeshadows (shades 2, 3 and 14)
  3. Chanel Rose Platine Eyeliner
  4. Clarins Beauty Flash Balm
I also tried to buy a back up MAC Hibiscus lipstick, but failed... anybody know where I may still get one (other than eBay)?

Will post about each product separately in more detail! x

 Shade 2.
Shade 3
Shade 14.

My Fab New Shoes!!

Not strictly a beauty post (I hope you don't mind, in fact please do let me know if you'd like to see more 'other' posts like this) but these shoes, in my view, are beautiful. When I saw them, I just knew they had to be mine, and so they were!

I can never say 'new shows' without thinking about my (unintentionally) hilarious mum getting tongue tied when asking somebody if their 'new foos shit them' - she's never lived that one down!

I thought I should actually take a quick snap of the shoes 'on' - as you can see, it is only a very quick snap but I hope it shows you how lovely they are. Sorry for the weird leg shot/angle below - I just couldn't get my foot/camera placing at a decent angle.

They were a complete bargain at £13.99 in TK Maxx, and worth every penny; I've actually just ordered some more online to give as a gift too (although they were more like £23, but still worth it).

Do you like them ladies?

Haul - YSL Goodies!

It's confession time again, I am posting another haul... a rather expensive haul but oh so worth it! These the YSL goodies I bought on a recent visit to Manchester!

I bought 6 lipsticks and one eye shadow palette (as you can see) and they are all bloody lovely. Let me show you in a bit more detail.

Lipsticks:
Rouge Voluptes!

Rouge Volupte: Numbers 8 and 9, Rose Fetiche (Fetish Pink) and Rose Carresse (Pink Caresse).

Rouge Volupte: Numbers 11 and 19, Rose Frivole (Frivolous Pink) and Rose Culte.

I haven't re-photographed No 10, Provocative Pink as you've seen it in these posts here and here, and also it's a competition prize so I didn't want to open it when not necessary!
Rouge Pur: Number 126, Rose Cachemire (Cashmere Pink).

I also bought the Rouge Pur lipstick in Cashmere Pink which is up for grabs in my competition HERE!

The 'Ombres 5 Lumieres' (5 Colour Harmony for Eyes) I bought is palette 7, Bronze Gold and is a beautifully presented shadow palette containing, yes you guessed it, 5 eye shadows! I've been lusting after these for a while, and I have my eye on at least 2 more in the very near future.
Do you likey my lovelies? x

Haul - China Glaze Nail Polish!

I’ve been spending a bit lately... I really shouldn’t as there’s about a bazillion things that I *should* be saving for, but pretty things keep catching my eye and I am weak! So, I have decided to start posting my hauls more regularly (I'll try to do them as I get them) so that you can see what I've been buying lately!

Anyway, the first haul post is from yesterday, when I received a package containing some China Glaze polish that I ordered from America. It arrived in super quick time – so much so that I may just have to put in another order very soon to take advantage of the quick shipping!

Anyway, here are my goodies - individual swatches to come soon! I got 4 crackle polishes (not the metallic ones, although I expect I will get those too) and 4 random non-crackle polishes!

L-R: Fault Line, Cracked Concrete, Broken Hearted and Crushed Candy!

L-R: Doll House, C-C-Courage, Mango Madness and Grape Juice!

I also bought Seche Base as I am currently trying to find products to cure or at least hide (very well) the pitting on my nails and make them smooth (or just appear it) like they used to be!
Can't wait to try them all out!

MAC & Chanel Mini Haul!

I had a little spend at weekend, I say a little spend but it was still almost £50 (but don't tell Mr Beauty Scoop) on 3 items. Still the 3 items are pretty worth it, in my opinion anyway!
I treated myself to Chanel's Miami Peach (203) Le Vernis nail polish which I will swatch very soon. I had this in my shopping cart at Boots.com but I spent so long dithering over what else to buy that it went out of stock. Panic ensued and I took to Twitter, hoping somebody might know where I could find it but to no avail! Luckily I was able to pick it up in store at Debenhams in Milton Keynes (where I was, visiting the almost in-laws)! It's such a beautiful colour in the bottle and I have seen some lovely swatches, so hopefully it will look just as good on my nails!

I then stopped by the MAC counter as I really wanted to have a proper look at the new collections, Fashion Flower and Semi Precious (eyes in particular)! I could have spent a fortune, but unfortunately because I had Mr Beauty Scoop with me, there was no way to hide what I was buying, so I plumped for Golden Gaze, a very shimmery blackened gold hue that I've been lusting after ever since I saw it on Temptalia.com! I will have to buy the other shades that I want, online - ha!
I also managed to justify buying Prep+Prime Line Filler Base whilst there as I said it could be good for disguising the dent in my forehead that I acquired on a night out at Christmas (last year) when I fell over coming out of the hotel and landed on my head (literally, my head was the first thing to hit the floor), leaving a huge dent where it hit. At the time I didn't think I would be left with a permanent reminder, but as time has gone on this appears to be the case. Anyway, this reason seemed to sit well with Mr Beauty Scoop and so it was purchased - result! Now if I could just think of similar reasons for me to be able to openly buy ALL the items I want, that would be great!

I'll be swatching, reviewing and posting about each item individually so please do come back to see more!!

My Oxford Haul (So Far)!!

Happy Easter, everybody; hope you're all having a fabulous day! I've had a little splurge this weekend - all in preparation for my holiday, of course... so I thought I'd do a little haul post as I like to see what people have bought, so thought you might like to see mine!
My photo's aren't great as I'm on my mobile phone camera whilst away in Oxford - sorry about that!

Yesterday, whilst in Oxford town centre I bought some clothes, but I haven't photographed these (at least not yet anyway) and also a MAC lippy (Costa Chic) as I have wanted it for a while now but just never seemed to get around to buying it. Luckily for me this also coincided with the Debenhams 10% off beauty deal so I only paid £12.15 for it - bargain!
Today we went to Bicester Village, and it would have been rude for me to have visited and not bought anything from The Cosmetics Company Store, so (even though I was being quite restrained) I bought:

MAC Sweet & Punchy eye shadow from the 'MAC To The Beach' collection as I missed this first time around.
MAC Mineralize eyeshadow in 'Illusionary Burning Ambition'
Bobbi Brown Metallic Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Opal (it reminds me ever so slightly of the Gosh Rainbow polish - it's lovely).
Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation as I've wanted it for a while!
2 Ojon travel sized shampoos (the thickening variety) - there was a great looking set there for £34 but I would have found it difficult to justify buying that on top of everything else, haha.
I could have spent about £200 more in there though - easily but I have to be careful at the moment as our house is guzzling our money whilst we're doing the kitchen etc! I think I did quite well anyway to restrain myself so much, although Mr Beauty Scoop still thinks I am mental for buying yet more makeup!
I also bought a pair of Karen Millen sunglasses, they were a complete bargain at £24.95 and were the ones that looked best on me, even over the more expensive ones - which makes a change for me.
Lastly I bought some bits from Accessorize, a belt, a pair of sparkly flip-flops and a cute flower ring.

I almost bought a Michael Kors watch (actually, I almost bought 2) but I went away to think about which one I preferred as I was being sensible but then forgot to go back - silly me!

I'll be sure to swatch and review very soon!
