New MeMeMe Nail Polish Shades - Part 3, 84 Delicate!

Last, but by no means least is the lightest of the 3 shades, shade 84 ‘Delicate’ which is a grey/purple shade... it has a very slight hint of Chanel’s Paradoxal polish but I think it is lighter than I remember Paradoxal being (I haven’t worn it for a while) so I wouldn’t say it was a dupe at the moment, but I’ll put a comparison up in this post (below) just to make sure.

This polish seems thinner than the other 2 MeMeMe shades (and Paradoxal for that matter) and needs a good 3 to 4 coats (the swatches show 3) but it’s worth it as it dries very quickly and is a very lovely colour indeed. It looks like it has a bit of understated shimmer running through it, again like Paradoxal does (although it looks a bit more frosted to me, in the photo's) but I still don’t think that this would qualify it as a dupe.

Sorry it's so picture heavy, it's just it looks kind of different in each one to me... also excuse my nails/hands etc as they're fresh from DIY'ing!

These 2 show the depth of colour better than the rest:

Natural light, with flash (dull day):

Anyway, comparisons aside this is a colour that is well worth a purchase whether you own Paradoxal or not. I think MeMeMe have triumphed with these shades and look forward to seeing any more that they come up within the future.

New MeMeMe Nail Polish Shades - Part 2, 87 Defiant!

Next up we have number 87, ‘Defiant’ which looks like quite a dark teal-y colour in the bottle but when on the nail resembles more of a very deep, and very dark forest green with just a very small tinge of blue in – to me anyway!

This is another one that is a lot darker on the nail than in the bottle, again to no detriment but just thought it worth a mention. The swatches show 2 coats which I think works perfectly well, my application lets it down somewhat though – so sorry about that!

Again please excuse my nails and cuticles, I did all three polish swatches on the same day, and you might notice some odd marks on there too, that’s rain but I was determined to get these pictures done for you so soldiered right on through it.

What do you think, do you like it?

New MeMeMe Nail Polish Shades - Part 1, 86 Enigmatic!

I got 3 new MeMeMe polishes in the post at weekend, completely out of the blue but completely welcome as they are beautiful. Edited to update information: the new colours are on the MeMeMe website right now and you can get an extra 20% off using the code Bliss2011 (thanks to Jo at www.beautyliciouslove.com/ for the code)!

I’ve decided to do each colour in its own post so that each post doesn’t end up even more picture heavy, and also so that each gets its own little bit of the spotlight!
First up is the beautifully smoky shade ’86, Enigmatic’ – I find it really hard to describe this colour as it looks different in every light so I'll let the pictures do the talking. It’s also darker than it looks in the bottle, but this is not detrimental to the colour or how it looks on my nails!

It applies very well, I think this was a solid 2 coater – and also very quick to dry too which is ideal for me. What I will say about the brush though, is that I have a bit of a love/hate relationship going on with it. I love that it is generally a decent brush, it gets plenty of product on and for most people the extra wideness of it would probably make it very easy to apply the product... however for me and my skinny nails it can be a bit cumbersome.

Hope you like the swatches, please do excuse my pre-clean up application and also my slightly messy cuticles and nails that need cutting!

MeMeMe Eye Inspire Classic Trio Collection!

This is just a follow up to my last post as I didn’t want to make one post so picture heavy, so I decided to do the Trio Collection shadows that I bought at Christmas in their own post! They cost £5.50 and obviously contain 3 shades within each pot (so roughly £1.83 each).

These are actually flat to the pan, as opposed to curved like the quad shadows – I suppose as you need to fit less of each colour inside... well that’s my guess anyway! Also, I’m not sure if this is just me, but they didn’t seem quite as pigmented as the others and they moved around in the pan as you try to get colour onto your brush which can be a bit of a pain - they’re still lovely all the same but personally I preferred the quads for the £1 extra.

As mentioned in my previous posts about MeMeMe, you can get 25% off your order by using the CHRISTMAS2010 code – but only until 15th February!

MeMeMe Eye Inspire Catwalk Quad Collection!

You may remember that I mentioned MeMeMe cosmetics just before Christmas (here), well I ordered a couple of bits and thought I’d swatch them for you to see.

Starting off with the Eye Inspire Catwalk Quad Eyeshadows which are priced at just £6.50 each, you get 4 shades in each round pot (which equates to roughly £1.62 each) – and they’re actually very, very good as they’re well pigmented, the colours are amazing and they blend really easily too.

The only problem I’ve found with them is that they do tend to blur between the colours due to there being no separator in place to stop it – it’s not really a deal breaker though in my opinion as they more than make up for this with their obvious plus points.

Don't forget that until February 15th you can get 25% off your order by using the code: CHRISTMAS2010

25% Discount @ MeMeMe Cosmetics Until February 15th!

Just a little heads up that MeMeMe Cosmetics are offering 25% off your order using the code CHRISTMAS2010 until February 15th. I’ve yet to use the brand but just noticed some fabulous looking swatches on LondonBeautyQueen.com (if you’re not already following her, you should be) which prompted me to go and have a proper look at the products available.

My friend then gave me the code so I thought it was a bloody good time to make my first order with them. I'll be sure to show you them when they arrive, but why not have a look at LBQ and the MeMeMe site until then?!

Just so you know, Christmas delivery isn’t guaranteed with them now, but these seem like they’ll be great at any time of year so I am happy to wait.
