Ola Jordan's Halloween Make-Up on Strictly Come Dancing... Illamasqua Inspired?

Anybody else think that Ola Jordan's makeup on Strictly Come Dancing last night was a bit similar to the make-up from Illamasqua's Toxic Nature collection in the eye department?

I've grabbed some of these images from the internet, but they're not as clear as they could be and they don't show the make-up that well, so I've just took a couple of screen shots on my phone, which I think show the look better.

Whaddya think? Also, isn't she beautiful? I have a massive girl crush on her.

Muji 'Kardashian' Style 5 Drawer Unit Available Online Right Now!

I've just ordered 2 units to add to my collection, and I am super excited about receiving them... possibly a bit more excited than I should be, maybe.  ;-)

I thought I'd let you know as I know that some of you were very interested in these.  I also know there's limited stock of them available, so it might be worth ordering online if you're not sure when you might get in store to buy one.

Muji Kardashian Style 5 Drawer Acrylic Makeup Storage!

I'm sure everybody has seen or heard about the acrylic beauty storage box that was shown on an episode (or 2) of  Keeping up with the Kardashians, haven't they? I believe it was a Clear Cube unit, highly expensive and basically unavailable to the UK! Anyway, it was seeing this that made me desire acrylic storage for my own make-up, it's just so organised and it looks fab, don't you think?!

I started buying Muji acrylic storage for my bits, but they only came in 1 and 2 drawer options - which is fine as they stack well and do the job, but I still lusted after something more for my large beauty collection; and ever since I saw a 5 drawer wide acrylic storage unit on the US Muji site, I've been wondering if we'd ever be able to get our mitts on it here in the UK.

Well, my wait is over as it's heading over here right now and will be available in stores and online from August 24th, priced at £24.95 - a bargain, really.

I actually can't wait to get my hands on one (or two), although I'm told that stock is limited so time will be of the essence!

Lindsay Lohan is looking a little better in these recent photographs, largely due to the fact that she's ditched the unflattering, and ageing blonde shade that she was sporting, to go back to her natural red hue.

I think this is a positive step towards her looking her best, but her skin and facial features have yet to go through the sam, positive transformation, and I'm wondering if her partying and other bad choices have left irreversible damage - hope not!

What do you think, are you glad to see Ms Lohan  has gone back to her natural hair colour?

Celeb Sunday - Stacey Solomon!

This is a first for me, my own photograph being used on Celeb Sunday - I thought it would be rude not to when the lovely Stacey Solomon was looking so radiant, after her appearance on Sunday Brunch; which is the new show that 'replaces' Something for the Weekend, on Channel 4 on Sunday mornings at 10am, if you want to watch it - and you should, it's great!

Not only did Stacey look fabulous, she was also absolutely lovely with it - very down to earth, and clearly very family orientated too. Big win!

I'm a little late in posting this, I had intended on getting this up on Sunday, however due to internet connection issues, I was unable to - and since I've been home, I've been struggling without my main computer as the power supply has broken, and I'm still waiting for a replacement part to arrive - which is also why there's been a general lack of posts on here of late. xx

Celeb Sunday - Sheridan Smith!

I'm absolutely loving Sheridan Smith's red hair, the coppery red hue really suits her skin tone and warms it up beautifully. The updo and new fringe just enhance the look as a whole - I'm definitely a fan. What do you think?

Celeb Sunday - Mischa Barton!

It's fair to say that Mischa Barton has had plenty of ups and downs when it comes to her appearance; from her soaring popularity and polished appearance when she was in The OC (I miss that show), to the many, many pap photographs of her looking rundown, unkempt and generally off her game - although some may see that as her looking like an average person, ha!

I think in recent times, she's been back to looking great - especially in this photograph with her warm, honey-toned hair. Her skin tone and overall healthy appearance please me greatly, it's never nice to see somebody who looks to be on a downwards spiral - as shown in my Lindsay Lohan post last week!

Celeb Sunday - Lindsay Lohan! :-(

This makes me so sad, Lindsay looks so much older than her years these days - and her peroxide blonde hair and full on make-up do little to help her cause, it's hard to believe that she's just 25 years old, since she practically looks twice her age, at least.

Her lips look like they've been injected, and frankly, appear too big for her face, her eyes look small and tired and her skin, dull. It's such a shame as she was so beautiful - many people, myself included, would have given their right arm to have had her natural beauty, and, if rumours and news stories are to be believed, then a life full of drink, drugs, partying and general excess have taken a huge toll on her appearance. She doesn't even look like 'Lindsay Lohan' anymore.

I think this serves as a reminder that whilst it's good to have fun, it's more important to look after your body; because as shallow as commenting on how she looks seems, what really worries me most is that the outward appearance of her face/skin etc could just be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the damage she's done to herself and her body.

Celeb Sunday - Katy Perry!

So, she's gone from pink to blue... but does it suit her? I think it does, to be honest - as out there as it is to have all blue hair (I had a couple of slices of blue, back in my early 20's), it works well for her. I also like the effect of the blue and purple in the picture, but that is by the by.

I wonder what colour she'll have next, any guesses? I reckon it coul be purple... no reason for this, it's purely a guess.

Celeb Sunday - Fearne Cotton!

 

I've had a bit of a girl crush on Fearne Cotton for quite some time now, basically ever since she chopped her hair off. Her hair as it was previously, was nice but nothing special, but now she's rocking her hair so hard, with every style she chooses. I feel like she's found her style and is sticking with it (or should do), she knows what works for her and she is bang on the money with it, every time. I have hair envy, big time.

The photograph above shows her with a sleek, low ponytail - it's simple but it works so well, and has gone for a classic black liner and red lip make-up look that complements it perfectly. Her skin looks totally flawless too, so jealous about that one!! Chic, non?!

Amazing Victoria Beckham Shots For i-D Mag!

I can't quite get over how amazing Victoria Beckham looks in these images, shot for i-D mag... not because she usually looks like a bag of tripe (as we all know that this is far from the truth), but because she's not long since had a baby - yet you'd never think that to look at these. She looks a bit more of a healthier size too, I mean she is still super slim, but not worryingly so.

Her hair, make-up and body are absolutely perfect in my opinion, she's totally rocking the look - and the front cover image, well, it's not how you's usually see her posing, and I LOVE it even more for that reason. She has a cheekiness about her in it that just works so well, I'd love to see her working that kind of look more often.

I love these images so much, and thought you might like to see them too. More images will obviously be available in the magazine when it's released (this week, I believe) and I, for one can't wait to see them.

Celeb Sunday - Olivia Wilde!

How amazing does Olivia Wilde look here?! She totally suits her shorter hair, with what looks like balayage colour. In fact, I love it so much, that I would be tempted to change from my beloved reds to this, just on the basis of seeing this picture (even though I know I wouldn't look even half as good as she does)!

Her beautifully smoked out eyes just completes what is to me, more of an edgy look that's slightly rocky and I love it on her. Love, love, love it.

I just love Demi Lovato's hair in this shade of red, it's a shade that I'd totally have in my hair (mine's a bit pinker, I think) and possibly will do in the near future (I will probably go through many hues before I am 'done' with the reds)! I also love her simple, but effective make-up!

I love Rachel Bilson's faux-bob here, especially with the slightly ombre ends peeking through. Her skin is also looking amazing - so luminous, and with perfect, sparkling make-up finishing off the whole look so beautifully. Love it.

How amazing does Charlize Theron look in this photograph? Her make-up is very neutral and lovely looking, but her hair steals the show for me. I adore it. The messy-ish updo is complemented perfectly with a sparkly headband that I *really* need to own (or at least something similar) and I would totally steal the whole look for my wedding day (I might)!

Celeb Sunday - Amber Heard!

This photograph of Amber Heard is really eye-catchng, it kind of makes me think of old Hollywood glamour when I look at it, don't you think? I think that her hair is a stunning shade of blonde with the the colour being made to look especially faaaaabulous because of the glamorous curls she's rocking too.

I'd kill to get her perfectly pale skin for myself, and  her make-up is just to die for; with gorgeous neutral champagne and brown hues on her eyes that make her gorgeous pinky-red lips really stand out, and yet still manage to capture my attention too.

Wordless Wednesday - Lea Michele!

I'm loving Lea in these photographs, especially as you never really see her rocking brighter, more noticeable lipsticks and I think this makes such a nice change to her usual look (not that I dislike that, but shaking things up a little every now and then can never hurt)! Her hair looks fabulously thick, shiny and healthy and her skin, radiant as per usual. Gorgeous.
