Kate & William Welcome Their Son, George into the World... and Kate Still has her Baby Bump, Hurrah!

Congratulations to Kate & William on the birth of their son, George. Lovely news and so much nicer to see things like this in the news, rather than all the doom and gloom, don't you think?!

How refreshing it is to see somebody in the public eye having a baby, and coming back into public view with their baby bump still intact and having not had a tummy tuck, or god knows what else to instantly flatten her stomach too. Fair play to her.

More people (celebrities) should take note and stop putting pressure on new mums who are not in the public eye to ping back into shape after giving birth. The time after birth should be spent getting to know your child, not having a nip and tuck (more recovery time) or exercising to within an inch of your life and depriving yourself of calories (losing vital nutrients if breastfeeding your new baby too) to lose your baby weight.

I think they'll make fabulous parents, and look forward to more pictures of their gorgeous new arrival.

Amazing Victoria Beckham Shots For i-D Mag!

I can't quite get over how amazing Victoria Beckham looks in these images, shot for i-D mag... not because she usually looks like a bag of tripe (as we all know that this is far from the truth), but because she's not long since had a baby - yet you'd never think that to look at these. She looks a bit more of a healthier size too, I mean she is still super slim, but not worryingly so.

Her hair, make-up and body are absolutely perfect in my opinion, she's totally rocking the look - and the front cover image, well, it's not how you's usually see her posing, and I LOVE it even more for that reason. She has a cheekiness about her in it that just works so well, I'd love to see her working that kind of look more often.

I love these images so much, and thought you might like to see them too. More images will obviously be available in the magazine when it's released (this week, I believe) and I, for one can't wait to see them.

What do you think?

Victoria Beckham Recommends... Roasted Kale!

Christmas has long since passed and here I find myself yet again, trying to get back on the healthy eating wagon. So, with that in mind, I've been looking for tasty alternatives to fatty food. I came across Victoria's Tweet recently, declaring her addiction to kale.
I thought it sounded alright, I imagined it would taste a bit like crispy seaweed that you get from chinese restaurants and potentially replace any craving for salty snacks like crisps. So, I came back from shopping with a bag of curly kale, ready and hopeful about this new discovery and tipped half the bag on a baking sheet, sprinkled with some Maldon sea salt and popped it in the oven.

Now let me tell you, if you're planning on trying this - you need to watch it carefully, as it can burn very quickly - you can see in the first photo that some of ours has slightly burnt bits on. I think we cooked ours for about 10 or 15 minutes (I know, I should really have timed it) and I think really, it could have done with ever so slightly less in our oven, with it being fan assisted.

The end result is errrm, interesting. The kale does go very crispy, but it is also very delicate too so a light hand is needed when picking it up, as it does have the tendancy to collapse in your fingers and go everywhere. My initial taste of the finished product did kind of remind me of seaweed, but then I got an aftertaste... not a very nice one. It reminded me of the smell of cigarettes, mixed with cabbage - I don't know if this is because it was on for slightly too long or not, but as a non-smoker, it made me feel ill. I couldn't finish it, and I'm too scared to try again - ha, wimp I am.

So, a fairly unsuccessful mission, but at least I tried. Have any of you tried this before? Can you report back to me if it is normal to have this weird aftertaste, or was I just unlucky?
