Groupon Sunbed Deal... Hmmm?!

Eek, a Groupon beauty deal that I’m really, really not so sure about popped up today in Manchester. It’s for seven sunbed sessions for £19.75 - apparently the value is £49 but all my local tanning shops seem to be £3 for 9 minutes – which is what is being proposed here which would equate to £21 in total, so still more but not quite as much as the ‘normal’ price; although I’m sure these are much swankier beds, with sound systems in, no less – although I’d rather pay less and have to cope with no sound system for the whole 9 minutes lol!

Anyway, I know people are going to use sunbeds if they want (so I’m not going to start preaching that sunbeds are the root of all evil or anything), and I use them too – every now and then (about 4 times per year, 2 on either side of my annual holiday as that’s generally all I can be bothered with) but there’s a couple of things that just don’t sit well with me.

1. They seem to pre-determine that you want 9 minutes each time – why not give you a set amount of minutes that you can use in any way you like?

and

2. They say you have 28 days to use all these sessions... this seems like an awfully short time to cram in all that sunbed time, especially as I’m sure I read somewhere that you should (in theory and according to regulations) never exceed 20 sessions per year – yes this is probably unrealistic for those of you who enjoy a year round tan but for a company to pretty much force you to have all these sessions in that amount of time seems wrong to me. Again, why can’t they just let you use all the minutes within say 6 months, in your own way?

What do you think? Would you use a sunbed this much in 28 days? I’m not sure I could so it’s not a deal I’d be taking up – plus there are much better deals on the Groupon site that I’d be more interested in, that may be better for me in the long run anyway!

Brilliant Beauty Bargains!

My first deal from Wahanda is fantastic if you’re in London as a deal doesn’t get much better than FREE, yes free, nothing, nada.... etc! If you’ve eaten too many Easter eggs then you might just be able to ease your guilt by taking part in a Pilate’s session. The beauty of this deal is that it really does give you the opportunity to try before you buy. A massive £24 saving, obviously equal to 100% saved can’t be grumbled at... it leaves you with enough money to buy yourself a Chanel lipstick if your heart desires it (I know mine does – Tehran, you will be mine... I promise)!
Another fabulous deal is for a £30 voucher for just £10 (available from Groupon) that can be used towards purchasing a Nica bag. I love these bags; they’re good value and excellent quality. I have 3 of them and adore every single one of them, incidentally my mum and sister have one each too as I bought them their own after them commenting on how nice mine were!
Also, if you’re in Manchester and contemplating laser hair removal then you could do far worse than this deal for 6 sessions on either 2 smaller areas or one large area of the body for £99 instead of £1,020. If you’re like me and get fed up of shaving/waxing/epilating then this is what you need. I’m currently testing an at home laser machine (more on that soon) and am starting to see results now that I’ve done 4 sessions – although I think a salon machine would be more powerful. I’m not going to lie and say it’s pain free, it isn’t – well not in some more sensitive areas (bikini and underarms come to mind, the other places seem like a doddle to me, with my pain threshold) but it’s bearable pain – if that even exists haha! If you can cope with waxing/epilating then this will be almost a walk in the park!
I used to do ballroom and latin dancing when I was a child, I got up to my gold medal in both but them gave up as I became a teenager and preferred to go out with my friends rather than spend the evening doing the cha-cha. I miss dancing these days and always pine for it when the likes of Strictly Come Dancing, or the American version, Dancing WithThe Stars are on television. I have tried to convince Mr Beauty Scoop to come with me, but he was having none of it and all my friends seem to be busy with kids or would rather just go down to the pub in any spare time they have.

Anyway, this deal is great for those of you who can convince some body to come with you (or who have the guts to go it alone) and who live in London. It’s for 10 individual hour-long Samba lessons for £32 instead of £80...  I’m so jealous as Samba is probably one of my favourite dances too, it’s such fun and keeps you in shape without you even realising (because of it being such fun)!

Back Busting Beauty (Ouch)!

With all the walking around I’ve been doing this weekend (shopping is hard work, although fun) and sleeping in a different bed for the weekend my back has been suffering and as such I’ve not slept very well. This has had a knock on effect as I look tired, because I am tired – not only in my eyes but I feel like my skin suffers when I’ve not slept very well so I’m not loving this fact right now!

Anyway, I’m on the look out for some good back or full body massage deals on Groupon or Wahanda to alleviate my pain and hopefully return me to normal once home as no amount of good foundation or concealer can hide this for much longer!

Does anybody else have this problem when they’re tired? I’ve only recently started having this issue – ever since I was the wrong side of 25, actually. I’m getting old – help!

A Short Beauty Deals Post!

I hope you're having a lovely bank holiday weekend, I'm only doing a very quick post as I just found a couple of fairly good deals on the Groupon website!
I really wanted to post as I found the Rare clothing voucher deal again (£9 for a £30 voucher to spend online), but not in the National deals as you may expect it to be... it's in with the Milton Keynes offers - which is weird, but I don't think it stops you purchasing if you want to as this voucher is to be used online! I'm aware this is fashion but it all kind of comes under the same umbrella of trying to look great, anyway I'm still trying to choose what I can buy with mine!!
London Grouponers (or people willing to travel to London for the deal) can partake in a '3 Hour Make-Up Course' for £35 instead of £95. I like the idea of doing a makeup course, I think it would help me to perfect my techniques and give some really good tips and tricks to try with make-up. I'd definitely be up for some of this action, if only I lived in London!

If you're in Liverpool then you might want to check this deal out as it looks rather good. A 'Full Body Swedish Masage, Facial & Sea Salt Scrub (including a 15 minute fish pedicure) for £24 instead of £85 - and you all know my thoughts on fish spa pedicures, don't you!!

Hope you like these deals - sorry for the short post, I'm currently boiling inside and neeeeed to get out in that sun!

Beauty Bargains For Today!!

Wahanda Leeds are giving you the chance to purchase for just £7 either a 'Fish Pedicure' (20 mins), 'Mini Manicure' that includes cuticle tidy, shape & paint, moisturise OR a 'Mini Pedicure' that includes cuticle tidy, shape & paint, moisturise. Not a bad offer I feel - I'd be tempted by all 3 of those! :)

Wahanda National Deal is still the New CID cosmetics set for £22 - I'm still waiting for mine, and now it's a bank holiday weekend there's little chance I'll receive it in time to swatch it before the offer goes off. It still looks like such a good deal though!

Groupon London have another floatation offer, this time for just £12! I really love the sound of this - it would be total relaxation, just what I need. I really hope one pops up in Manchester so I can go and experience it!

Another deal from Groupon London and this is for laser hair removal, six sessions of it for £129, to be precise and you have the choice of either one medium area (lower arms, front/back of neck, sideburns, or G-string bikini) or 2 small areas (upper lip, chin, underarms, or standard bikini). I personally think this is a good deal as 6 sessions should do a good job of getting rid of the hair, in my opinion... unless your hair is particularly stubborn; for instance those of you with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome may need more treatments. Also top up treatments may be needed as hair grows in different cycles but you should, for the most part be pretty hair free after this. I'm currently trialling an at home hair removal machine (due for a post in the future) and also have PCOS but I'm having generally positive results - they're taking a little longer, as expected but I have confidence in the process. It hurts a little, especially in more sensitive area (underarms, bikini etc) but as they say, no pain no gain... and it's not incredibly unbearable, just a very hot shot on your skin!
Groupon in Glasgow have an intriguing offer for six 'Omnilux Enlighten Eye Treatments' that they say will 'reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles' for £79. I have to be honest and say I've never heard of this treatment, but if it does do as it says then this isn't a bad offer at all. Anybody had it?

Deals Deals Deals!

Today’s deals aren’t all beauty related, purely because I saw some bloody good deals and thought that they should be included regardless of this fact!

Ok so first up we have Groupon deals:
Manchester (actually, Bolton but it’s close enough I guess) Groupon has a lovely looking deal at Brown Cow Beauty Salon. You can get a full body massage, scalp massage AND facial microdermabrasion for just £29 (for one person) or £54 (for two people)! You will already know that I’m very interested in microdermabrasion if you’ve seen other deals I’ve posted but this whole package sounds like such a treat and at a bargain price too! :-)
Groupon Leeds shows a deep tissue massage deal, just £12 for the pleasure – this sounds like just what I need. You get a full hour of massage with balm being used for areas that give you trouble – lovely!

My final 3 Groupon deals aren’t beauty deals but if you’re in the market for some wine, a new mobile phone or a tablet pc with broadband contract then these could be worth a glance!
Samsung Galaxy Tab for £15 instead of £49 (normal contract cost before line rental) with a 24 month contract for £15 per month (usual monthly cost £25). This looks a fantastic deal as if you were to buy just the tablet PC from Amazon right now, you’d be paying about £372 whereas this will cost you £375 in total but included in that is 500mb of internet each month (with no extra cost incurred if you go over your allowance, I know this to be true as I am a T Mobile customer normally) - I might have to buy one of these, they're very good - my brother in law owns one!
Samsung Omnia Windows 7 Phone 7 for £28 (worth £280) on a 24 month contract with T Mobile for either £15 (300 minutes, unlimited texts) or £25 (900 minutes, unlimited texts) per month! I’ve never used this phone but I did have the previous Omnia which I loved, and the Samsung Galaxy S is also amazing. I really think that Samsung have upped their game with their mobile devices – good on them!
Finally there’s £15 for a £35 voucher to use at winedeal.co.uk – I’ve seen a mixed crate on there for £39 which would be great value – I’m tempted but I’m desperately trying to watch my figure so I can splurge in Egypt soon haha!
Amazon have Zumba Fitness for the Wii for just £19.98 - it's meant to be great fun and a good way to burn fat and keep fit (see, this one is still beauty related *phew*) and I'm very tempted to buy it!

Body Hangups!

I’ve always had issues with many parts of my body for one reason or another (which is why I’m finding it hard to get the confidence to put up a full photo of myself) but taking photographs close up for swatches etc has made me so much more aware of such things.

My wonky lip:

For instance, I’ve noticed my lip has gone a bit wonky – it’s not massively noticeable (so I’m told) but it’s definitely something I’m bothered about, so much so that I’m seriously considering having some kind of temporary makeup done on it! I saw a possible one on Groupon today but I think I need to do a bit more research into it first.

Also, my hands are not hairy at all to look at – yet when I do my close up swatch photo’s I am constantly noticing hairs in them – I know there are always going to be small, unnoticeable hairs but it’s rather disconcerting to see them so close up in photo’s!

My 3 'best' fingers:

I also get bothered by my poorly fingers in nail swatches as I have psoriasis and it can show up quite a lot in these shots - hence my first photo’s on here being on fake nail wheels; and hence why you’ll also usually only see maybe 3 of my fingers on my left hand (see above), as they’re the ‘best’ looking ones lol!

I can’t think of one area of my body that I actually like – it’s a sad fact, but a true one. Do you have any body hang-ups? Do you avoid photographs? Am I being completely irrational?

A Quick Round Up Of Todays Beauty Deals!

This is just a very quick round up of a few deals for today!
The Wahanda New CID Cosmetics offer is still on, if you want this set then now’s the time to get it – I bought mine yesterday so will swatch as soon as it arrives!
Also on Wahanda is a 1 hour Shiatsu massage for £17 instead of £50 – available at various locations around the UK – see Wahanda for more details. Again, if you have a £5 voucher, or haven’t but are not signed up to the newsletter (so can get one when doing so) you can get this deal for just £12, even better (same goes for New CID cosmetics offer above too which would go down to £17)!!
Groupon Manchester still have the Microdermabrasion offer from yesterday, which looks like great value to me!
Today, Groupon Manchester also sees an offer for semi permanent makeup which is just £120 for one area (choice of lips, lashes or brows) and is worth up to £495! I really, really am tempted by this as I feel my mouth is a little wonky in one little area – I don’t think it’s enough to notice in general, but when you know something is there that you don’t like then it’s a personal aggravation to keep seeing it there.

I will have to check the place out and see some of their previous work though as I want a natural finish – I don’t want to be looking like I have been having my make up tattooed on (even though I will have done so) – fussy, me?!

If I find any more deals today then I’ll be sure to post them up as soon as I can! :-)

Holiday Hair Colour Dilemma!

As you may know, I currently have my hair coloured in red/purple tones... I’m loving these kinds of colours in my hair, but am slightly panicking about how it will fare when I go to Egypt in about 5 weeks both in terms of fading in the sun and also leaking when in the pool or the sea.

I currently have Wella Koleston Perfect and Colour Touch products in my hair (both semi permanent, salon colours) which last great usually, but do have leakage in water when washing etc so I’m a little bit worried about this happening whilst I’m swimming. I’ve had red in my hair before, but never at a time when I’ve been going on holiday so this has got me stumped!
Anyway, I’m left with a few choices... 1. Take whatever happens on the chin and just have fun, 2. Have permanent colours put in my hair next time, so there may be less of a chance of the product leaking off my hair or 3. Go for a different colour that’s not as heavy in terms of upkeep whilst away!

I’m keeping my eye on Groupon and Wahanda for any good hairdressing deals but honestly, I need to decide what to do when the time comes more than anything; so I am calling on you, my fabulous readers to see what you would do?

A Little Update On The Groupon Microdermabrasion (Manchester Deal) Included In My Beauty Deals!

I wanted to give you a little update on what I have found out about the situation with having microdermabrasion if you have psoriasis - as mentioned on the Groupon section of the 'Beauty Deals' post I put up earlier. I spoke to a nurse at the clinic who was very friendly and gave me some information on the matter.

If you have active psoriasis on the area to be treated (i.e. your face) then it could potentially be a problem, if it's active but in a different area then this *should* be fine; however each case is treated as an individual case and you will have a consultation prior to the treatment with a medically trained practitioner so you can be sure that they're not just going to go ahead and do it without any thought for any conditions that could be affected by this.

I think this is a very responsible way of doing things and it has given me confidence in the clinic and its staff.

A Few Beauty Deals For Today!

We all love a bargain; it gives us the buzz of buying new things but without so much of the guilt associated with actually laying out the dosh! This post has some of the best beauty bargains I’ve found on the net recently that I think you’d be interested in.

Truth be told, I can never resist a bargain which can get to be quite an expensive trait to have, even at bargain prices, so I must admit that I do still feel twinges of guilt if I’m spending instead of saving for my wedding – they don’t last too long though! ;-)

On Wahanda for £22 you can get an Exclusive 3-piece Makeup Hero Collection from New CID Cosmetics plus Free Delivery (saving you 62%). The set contains the i-smoulder pencil and shadow to create fabulous smoky eyes, a limited edition baked bronzer and highlighter duo for beautiful glowy skin, plus the i-gloss light up lipgloss for perfectly pouty glam lips!

This is a National deal so you can buy it wherever you are in the country but stocks are limited so could sell out at any time! A big bonus with this deal is that you can also get a £5 discount voucher to use on this deal if you sign up to the Wahanda newsletter (if you’re not already subscribed) so that would take this already fabulous deal down to £17!!
Groupon Manchester have a great microdermabrasion deal (FOUR microdermabrasion sessions for £39.95 instead of £150 – plus £50 off any other treatment there, to be precise) that I am definitely looking into for myself; I need to look into it because I have psoriasis that I don’t want to make worse, but if they don’t advise against me having it done then I will purchasing this without any hesitation.

Microdermabrasion is basically a form of exfoliation that sloughs away dead skin but also uses an adjustable suction to help to remove the outer layers of skin. With microdermabrasion you could see a reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and shallow acne scarring; it could also help to decrease the appearance of superficial hyperpigmentation.
On the Groupon London Specials page there’s an interesting offer for semi permanent makeup (eyebrows, or eyeliner) at COSMEDOCTOR for £149 instead of £450. I say interesting because COSMEDOCTOR is actually located inside Superdrug on Kensington High Street. I only really found out about this new venture in Superdrug yesterday on Twitter so it seems very coincidental to see this on Groupon today.

COSMEDOCTOR also offer other non surgical treatments such as botox, fillers, laser hair removal, and chemical peels etc within their Superdrug location and there’s also a fish spa in there too (although I’m going off on a tangent here so more about all that in another post).  I quite fancy having a bit of semi permanent makeup – maybe on my lips or brows, have any of you had it done?
On the Birmingham Groupon page you can get a voucher for £180 worth of facial injection treatments that will cost you just £59! Now this will cover things like botox and fillers I’d expect so on face value (as I’ve never been to the clinic in question) this seems like a really, really good deal. The offer covers 1 area but you can purchase more areas for £60 each – so only £1 more than the deal price, which is rather good. I would quite like to try botox to be honest, I wouldn’t want the full on no movement effect but just enough to prevent any wrinkle damage occurring – as they do say that prevention is better than cure!
My final deal for today is on Superdrug, 3 Accessorize nail polishes in a set for £1.99. There are 2 sets available but they can’t guarantee which set you will be sent. I’ve heard good things about Accessorize polish (and the range in general) so this seems like a very good deal to me (as there’s no point in spending the money, however cheap on products that are no good)!

My Fish Pedicures In Malaysia (From My Visit Last Year)!

Last year I went to a fish spa in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur to be precise and I had my first ever experience of a Garra Rufa fish pedicure. After about 15 minutes of squealing by the side of the water, scared to death of putting my feet in the water with those little foot nibbling fish I finally took the plunge, literally. The sensation was actually very nice, once I actually let the fish near me – it reminded me of the feeling I had whilst using a TENS machine, kind of a buzzy tingly sensation... and just a tiny bit tickly, even though my feet aren’t particularly ticklish.

^ This picture is of me hovering over the water before I took the plunge... notice the blurriness on it, this is me bottling out of putting my feet in the water for the umpteenth time.
^ Just my heel... I was very tentative!
 ^ All in!

^ Just look at them all!!

Anyway, after I had done it the once, I couldn’t wait to go back and get my feet back in there, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my holiday (in terms of the experience of doing it, and also facing my phobia of being in water with fish – although not completely conquering it as I still won’t be going deep into the sea with a big smile on my face) and my feet were lurrrvely and soft to boot!

Here's a few pictures from Malaysia (from the hundreds I have):

Fish pedicures seem to be more expensive in the UK compared to Malaysia, although that’s to be expected really... however I do keep noticing these deals popping up on Groupon and Wahanda in various parts of the country for fish pedicures at knock down prices, so every time I see one in Manchester I will definitely be taking them up on it.

I am due to visit ‘Appy Feet’ in Manchester soon too, so I’ll be reviewing them in full just as soon as I’ve been.

Have you ever had a fish pedicure? If not, would you?

£9 for £30 Worth of Clothing from Rare Fashion on Groupon Today!

I've just noticed this deal on Groupon and whilst not strictly falling into the 'beauty' category, I thought it was worth posting as these types of Groupon National deals are usually very popular and seem like very good value. I think a new dress for my holiday to Egypt might be on the cards!!

These kinds of deals usually sell out well before they are due to end, this one is still going currently but if you're thinking about buying then I wouldn't wait for too long as it could end at any time.

Deal - Eyelash Extension Training Course!

If you’ve ever fancied starting your own business doing lash extensions (or just fancy being able to do it for friends and family) then this one could be for you. I’ve just noticed that on the Groupon London Specials page there is an offer to do an ‘Eyelash Extension Training Course for £129 at Love Lash (Value £350)’ which seems like a great saving. Eyelash extensions are becoming more and more popular – I mean who doesn’t love long lashes, right?

The voucher is actually valid for 1 year, which means that even if you don’t live in London but would like to do this, you can still consider going for this as it gives you plenty of time to get a visit planned (and to book yourself in on whichever course date suits you).

I like the idea of this but in reality I'm not entirely sure I'd have the patience actually do it all day every day haha!

More information is available on the Groupon site.

Two Manchester Beauty Deals For Today!

I noticed a deal for a fish pedicure on Groupon that is on for the next 2 days (well 47 hours, 41 minutes and decreasing) and at £9 for 30 minutes I thought it a very reasonable deal indeed, plus it’s based in Manchester... so I bought it, well it would be rude not to really!

Another Manchester deal that I am VERY tempted to purchase is for the ‘Choice of Two Beauty Treatments including Massage or Body Wrap for £29 with Special FX Hair and Beauty Studios (Worth up to £200)’ deal  (again, on Groupon as I've only had a chance to look on there so far, I'm in need of sleep so I'll look on Wahanda and other sites for more good deals if I get any free time later on today) and I can see at least 4 treatments that I’d consider doing there. Just for quickness I’m going to paste all treatments that you can choose from as this looks like a complete bargain to me:

1) Nora Bode Oxyjet facial with liquid oxygen, minerals and collagen. (30 minutes RRP £70.00, including multi vitamin mineral gel, 30g RRP £25.00 to continue at home treatment for 6 weeks)

2) UCW Body wrap to help lose weight (RRP £70.00)

3) Medical G5 deep tissue massage and body contouring for cellulite and problem areas, with antioxidant arometharpy oil (30 minutes RRP £50.00)

4) Peach kernel and citric acid body scrub with combined vitamins A, C, E (30 minutes RRP £70.00)

5) Infrared Room to detox body, normally £7.00 per 5 minutes (40 minute treatment RRP £56.00)

6) Mene Moy medicated 4% body acid peel (15 minute application time RRP £299.00)

7) Heal and Seal mineral body brush (30 minutes RRP £70.00)

8) Collagen facial with acupressure mini face lift (30 minutes with 6 week take home kit, RRP £130.00 with resident nurse only)

It looks like I might be spending a bit more money before the day is over!

Bargain Beauty Feature?

After spending a lot of time looking at and posting about beauty deals recently (as well as sporadically over the time I’ve had this blog) I’ve decided that it could be a good idea to keep posting them up as a regular feature – I mean who doesn’t like a bit of a bargain?! I’m not entirely sure how often I’ll do this; I guess it depends on how many deals I come across that are worth posting, but I do hope it will be something that you do enjoy and find useful whenever I do post them up!

I’ll be using a variety of websites such as Wahanda/Groupon type sites and also other popular online beauty stores to find the deals (I do a LOT of beauty browsing) and I’ll also post up any offer or money off voucher codes that I come across too. Please do let me know if you think this is a feature that you’d find worthwhile?!

My Top Groupon Beauty Deals For Today!

Along with the LED teeth whitening in Manchester that I noticed a short white ago, I also noticed a similar deal for 'Laser Teeth Whitening for £87 at The Harley Laser Specialists (Value £350)' in London - for any of you that may be interested in having yours done!

Another London deal that caught my eye is the 'Piscean Fish Pedicure for £12 at Anesis (Value £30)' - I had my first fish spa experience in Kuala Lumpur last year and I really loved it, they're a lot cheaper over there but this deal really seems like good value. If you do go for this then don't do what I first did and waste 15 minutes squealing with your feet hovering over the water!

In Leeds you can get 'Three Sessions of Diamond Microdermabrasion for £39 at Foxy's Hair Salon (Value £120)'  and also 'Ten Fitness Boot Camp Sessions for £19 with The BEST Boot Camp (Value £70)' which could be great for getting you in tip top condition for the summer.

People in Cardiff can also have get their workout on with 'Five Personal Training Sessions for £35 with Cardiff Personal Training Studio (Value £150)'.

If you're in Sheffield then you can get a cracking deal with 'One Day Spa Access Plus Either a Full Body St.Tropez Spray Tan, a Manicure or a Pedicure for £16 at LivingWell Sheffield (Value up to £47)' and in stark contrast to the previous 2 exercise related deals you also get a slice of cake and standard Costa coffee included... plus other benefits too!

Finally, not beauty related but I thought still worth a mention is the 'National Deal' as you can get a £50 voucher for just £20 to spend on hotel accommodation (worldwide) at Alpharooms.com... you can always get a spa or beauty treatment with the saving you make. ;-)

As always, these deals are all available on the Groupon website!

Cosmetic Dentistry & The Celebrity Smile!

I'm not that confident in 'real life', and that includes about my teeth - they're not terrible but when I see celebrities that have perfectly straight, bright white beautiful teeth it does make me feel like I'd like a piece of that action too!

I have thought about getting dental veneers many times, I love the way they can look when done well (i.e the expensive ones) but at the moment my budget would not allow for it by any stretch of the imagination, I’m sure that I'm not the only one who would consider it either?! However after seeing a photo of Nicola Roberts (at least that’s who I *think* it is lol) it’s made me think a little harder about it. I’ll show you the picture before going on...

Now... I really don’t mean to sound like a mean girl here (as I am certainly far from perfect myself) but she looks like she’s fresh from the doggie dentures advert with those gnashers!! Yes they’re straight and pearly white but those good points fall by the wayside because they clearly look too big for her mouth/lips - I actually think I prefer her natural teeth to these!

Now the reason that this one picture has made me think twice (apart from the obvious) is that I would assume that somebody like Nicola Roberts would have the means and contacts to go to the best cosmetic dentist there is to get her work done... and if this is the outcome then I do wonder what a mere mortal like myself would end up looking like when I know I probably couldn’t afford to go to the best in the business.

Anyway, it hasn’t put me off completely (if I was to ever win the lottery or whatever), but it certainly has given me food for thought. I am tempted to maybe have mine whitened first, see what that turns out like - especially after seeing a deal on Groupon (Manchester for once, yay) for LED whitening for £75 instead of £299. I'm going to spend some of my day looking into it, seeing how effective it is as to whether it's suitable for me!

What do you make of Nicola's new teeth, would you have veneers?
